This immaculately restored two bedroom Heated Detached Cottage, dating from the late 17thCentury, has recently been renovated to a high standard and will provide a cosy and tranquil base for your holiday. The accommodation consists of fitted kitchen with washing machine. Lounge with Wood burning fire, (for winter bookings(oct-march)) . Separate heated dining room.Upstairs has a heated shower room. One heated Family bedroom with a double and single bed & one heated single bedroom with bunks. Own garden and patio with BBQ. The location of the cottage is in traditional Mayenne farming country & extremely rural and peaceful. With just the sound of the occasional tractor to remind you where you are! It's a safe environment for children, bikes are available if needed & the lane, which passes the cottage, serves only the next-door farmhouse.

The interior furniture was all new for the 2005 season and the cottage has been tastefully restored to original condition where possible. High chairs and travel cots are provided if needed. The TV has Sky channels and French stations too. The owner has a selection of videos and DVDs', if you feel the need to borrow any, just ask. All rooms are heated by radiators with the addition of a log burner in the lounge. Bedlinen is available but unfortunately towels are not provided. A Complimentry Welcome Pack will be there to make your incoming journey that much easier.

The exterior of the cottage has a private garden and swimming pool, for the sole use of residents. There are various fruit trees for residents to help themselves to during the season, including Cherries, Damson, Peaches, Apples and Pears too. There are views of the countryside all around the cottage. The location of the cottage is in traditional Mayenne farming country and extremely rural and peaceful. With just the sound of the occasional tractor to remind you where you are! It's a safe environment for children, and the lane, which passes the cottage, serves only the next-door farmhouse. Because the terrain is gently rolling and the lanes quiet, cycling and walking from the cottage is popular. However, sandy beaches, and canoeing are all a short drive away; and of course, being in France, there are good restaurants and local markets abound. You can take a drive to Mont St Michel, or Le Mans for great shopping. There's lot to do, details are in the cottage welcome books.

The swimming pool:

The swimming pool is heated from May until September and is for the sole use of the cottage residents only. Wood for the wood burning fire can be provided when needed, as can electric blankets. But this service is normally for winter lets only. The property has electric heaters in each room.

A £200 refundable breakages deposit and a £250 booking deposit are required when your booking is made.
